This weekend I was able to attend my Mothers Without Borders Conference & meet the team I will be traveling to Zambia, Africa with. I was kinda nervous about the whole situation.. not knowing anyone previous, but after walking into the room & being
greeted with hugs from the nicest women I have ever met all my fears were gone!!
I felt so comfortable and started feeling SOOO anxious to get my adventure started. Mothers Without Borders is such an amazing organization and I am so grateful to be able to take part in its work. Please, please check out the website if you want to learn more about the organization: Mothers Without Borders
I am excited too that my team is made up of mostly girls all close to my age! We are planning on doing some post expedition travel to Livingstone (pronounced Livingston - shout out to my girl Kiana!!) together where we will be doing a safari, possibly elephant rides, and if I gain up enough courage: bungi-jumping of the world's second largest waterfall:
Victoria Falls!!

I am so excited to get this trip started & can't say thank you enough
to those who have helped make this possible for me! I will never be able to repay those who have donated. I know this is going to be a life changing experience and I am ready for it!!
If anyone is still interested in donating please just let me know... or if you would be interested in donating needed items that I can take to Zambia with me please just leave a comment & I can let you know what exactly is needed.
Also on a separate side-note I had to share a picture of the cute new bedding I got as an early birthday present:
So this isn't exactly a picture of my room.. but it is the same bedding. If you can't tell the sheets are zebra print! SO CUTE! I also got a cute little zebra lamp to match... I am stoked about redoing my room when I move back home. I am already letting Africa leak into my decorating ideas with the animal print :)
Overall... pretty good weekend!
