I recently read this book over my Lake Powell vacation (amazing) and totally loved it!
I admit I first wanted to read this book because I knew it was being made into a movie with Julia Roberts. Who doesn't love her?
But as I began to read this book it really opened up my eyes as to what I want out of life. I was so envious of her adventures and found myself thinking: "Hey, I wanna eat pasta in Italy! I want to meditate in India.. I want to have my palm read by a medicine man in Indonesia!"
For some reason this book really put into perspective what I want out of the big picture in my life... and that involves a lot of traveling! I want to see everything I can... set foot on every continent (maybe not Antarctica.. haha) and experience all that this beautiful world has to offer. After going to Africa and falling in love with the people & the culture I developed an itch inside me that seems to drive me to adventure out & involve myself in my global surroundings.
As cheesy as it sounds, it's the truth... "live life to the fullest, you never know which breath may be your last"
And that is definitely what I intend to do :)

I heard this book is amazing. I really need to read it. I'm the same way-- I want to travel and do EVERYTHING! Life is short, hopefully someday I'll be able to do all that. :)
I love this post! I think it is so great to have goals and aspirations because you are right. You never know what breath will be your last one. I have come to appreciate that statement SO much these past couple months. I think we need to set out to take a wild adventure together sometime! :) Love you, Abuelita!! A LOT!
I've been looking for a new book to read, thanks for the suggestion. Can't wait to see the movie, because I love Julia Roberts, too, and haven't seen her in a film FOREVER!
